That Ain't Champagne, It's Piss



  During times such as we're living in, it's imperative to use our powers of discernment and discretion. The Seven Of Cups tarot card (confusion, overly excited, drugged, dark influences disguised as harmless fluff, and the like) came to mind this morning. It took me a minute to figure out why this appeared in my psyche, and then it struck me... This is the eve of the Libra Full Moon. Libra is ruled by the planet Venus, and the Moon rules our subconscious emotions. So, we have a double hitter in balancing our emotions through healing the deep-rooted issues we've yet to resolve. One of those issues for me is getting high off someone else's ideas that never go anywhere. Here's a hint: Libra represents balancing the scales. Think of the times in your life when your emotions took over your thoughts and the results. We have to allow our emotions to rule our hearts and our thoughts to rule our heads; not mix the two. Live a life through balanced actions. 

 I'm not alone in this. Many of us have dreams and desires to manifest and express our truth; however, there are those who purposefully seek those who are most vulnerable for a chance to make their dreams come true. They offer lofty ideas and goals that match yours, or better, and then offer to assist you with a deal that's too good to be true, and they usually are, sadly. We show up like a puppy, happy and thirsty for attention from a mentor, only to discover there's no one there but you. You bring your A game and bountiful energy, and soon realize the math ain't mathin'. The structure of support is you toeing the line; the infinite ideas you provide are well received with endless promises for compensation, and yet you don't get any recognition. Your heart sinks as you suddenly come to your senses that the champagne promises are piss. 

 During this period of the Libra Full Moon vibes, I want to challenge you to dig into your psyche for the roots that cause you to get high on false promises. It could be wanting to feel connected to a parental figure who was unavailable to your needs as a developing child. While for some, it could very well be addicted to getting attention just for attention’s sake (trauma bonding). And for others, it may be needing to believe in something or someone outside of them due to having little or no faith within themselves. Whichever applies, do the healing work so that you can learn to use your emotions intelligently (discernment) before making a choice, especially when you feel an offer is off. Reclaim your power that enables your gut intuition to light up when dealing with uncertainty. This will save a lot of heartache, resources, and time in the future. You are, and will always be, your best investment. So make sure to check in with your psycho-emotional health on a weekly basis.

Hind Sight, It's A Thing

 It's said that hindsight is 20-20, and I'll be damned if it's been providing a great deal of change in my childhood perspective lately. So I will share a couple of them with you. The first involves abandonment issues from childhood. For years, I was under the impression and assumption that I was seriously wounded by my father abandoning us, when it was far from the truth. Because I was so young and a strong empath, I couldn't decipher my emotions from my moms. She was the one feeling abandoned, not me. I felt relief. When he was around, it was not a positive environment for any of us. Being the oldest of four kids, hypersensitive, and unable to articulate what I was experiencing made my formative years challenging is definitely an understatement. And I'm not bitter about it because it helped me to exercise compassion for those in similar settings.
